The walk back to the dorm from detention felt like it took forever.  He really needed a shower since he was all sweaty after all the fighting and stair climbing.  Not as much as he'd needed a shower after the water fight with Annette, Hermione, Dawn, Molly, and Ronan, because today he'd managed not to be thrown in the lake by a girl.
